Hurt is a top SSBU player from Kagoshima, Japan. He is considered the best Snake player in the game’s history, and is currently ranked 3rd in the world. His playstyle is flashy yet strategic. He can both suffocate you or entirely wall you out. And if for some reason he can’t beat you with Snake, Hurt uses one of the other best characters in the game, Sonic, as a back up. Hurt has wins on many of the greatest players to ever play. He is also one of the only players to win a major tournament in all 3 of the strongest regions, NA, Europe, and Japan.
He initially got his start playing online using a website called Smashmate. This service uses its own matchmaking system to pair skilled players against each other in order to establish a high quality ranking system. Many top Japanese players got their start using this website. His offline career only really started to take off in 2023, getting 7th and KOWLOON 4. He had attended Kagaribi 7 and Kagaribi 8 in 2022, but did not place as well, and immediately went back to playing online until January the next year. Since then he has transformed into one of the world’s finest, becoming the only Snake player to ever win multiple major tournaments.
Hurt’s Inspiration
Hurt is a big fan of NA Snake Player ApolloKage, the former best Snake player in the world from 2022 to 2023. He rose to stardom primarily after attending Ultimate Summit 6 and defeating MkLeo, Glutonny, and VoiD to get 7th. Both have pushed Snake to incredible heights.
